I’m Marina Lee, a photographer based in New York City and Chicago, specializing in 35mm film photography. Currently pursuing a BFA in Photography at Parsons School of Design, my work is rooted in a deep appreciation for analog processes while seamlessly integrating film techniques into digital photography.

With seven years of experience, I have worked across fashion, hospitality, music, portraiture, and personal commissions, bringing a thoughtful and artistic approach to every project. My background in film and television has also shaped my ability to direct subjects, ensuring a comfortable and natural experience in front of the camera.

I am drawn to the traditional techniques of film and the way it captures light and emotion with a timeless quality. At the same time, I value the flexibility of digital photography, allowing me to create the exact moment I envision with limitless shooting possibilities. My approach is hands-on and collaborative—I consult with each client or subject to understand their goals, encourage references, and take their preferences into account while maintaining an authentic and natural feel in the final images.

This portfolio showcases my work and serves as a space for potential clients and employers to explore my perspective. My long-term goal is to establish myself as a fine arts studio photographer, specializing in high-end portraiture, weddings, personal commissions, and travel documentary work.
